Alice M. Fish age 85 of
Belview, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 17, 2008 at Wood Dale
Nursing Home in Redwood Falls. Funeral services will be held 10:30
a.m. Thursday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Belview. Visitation
will be 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church with a
6:30 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour prior
to Thursday’s services at the church. Interment will be in the

Alice M. Fish was born May 21, 1922 at her home in Sacred Heart,
Minnesota to Herman and Jennie (Odegard) Sunvold. She was baptized
and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Alice graduated from Sacred
Heart High School and later attended Granite Falls Vocational Technical
School for nursing classes.
Alice was united in marriage to Milton D. Fish on November 12,
1946 in Duluth, Minnesota. Together the couple lived in Belview
their entire married life. Alice worked as a waitress at the Rainbow
Café, was a telephone operator and worked at the nursing
homes in Belview and Renville. She was also was employed by Control
Data in Redwood Falls and was the assistant manager of the Belview
Municipal Liquor Store. She joined Our Savior’s Lutheran Church
in 1946 and was active in the Ladies Aid. She and her sister often
sang in church when they were younger. Alice enjoyed cooking, fishing,
listening to music, collecting antiques, going to auctions and being
a full-time homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family;
especially her grandchildren.
Alice is survived by her husband Milton “Duwayne” of
61 years; children: Allison (Bonnie) Fish of Becker, MN, Barry (Lori)
Fish of Urbandale, IA, and Robin (Laurie) Fish of Shakopee; grandchildren:
Kimberly, Dustin & Travis, and MaKenzie & Brady. She is
also survived by her brother Phil Sunvold of St. Augusta; and many
other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents,
brother Justin Sunvold, sisters: Harriette Davidson, Marcella Pelz,
Betty Hubert and infant sister Wilma Sunvold.
