Linda M. Fixsen age 58 of Wabasso passed away Saturday February 2, 2008 at the Rice Memorial Medical Center in Willmar. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Wabasso. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Interment is in the church cemetery. The Redwood Valley Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Linda M. Fixsen was born June 27, 1949 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota to William and Mary Ann (Frank) Krueger. She attended country school district 67 for one year before it closed. She then attended Sanborn Public School, graduating in 1967. She then received her Associates Degree from the University on Minnesota in Minneapolis. Linda worked at Norwest Bank, later Minnesota Valley Bank in Redwood Falls. In the summer of 1969, Linda was united in marriage to Tom Brandt. To this union, they were blessed with three children. Linda worked at the Southwest Minnesota ELCA Synod Office in Redwood Falls for 19 years. In February 1993, she was united in marriage to Jeffrey Fixsen at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Wabasso. Together the couple made their home near Wabasso where she has resided since. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church where she served on the church council for 6 years. Linda was an avid reader. This past year, she read the entire Bible. She enjoyed shopping, gardening and spending time with her friends and family, especially her three granddaughters.

Linda is survived by her husband Jeff of 15 years; children: Nathan Brandt and wife Kari of Wabasso, Adam Brandt of Wabasso, and Alyssa Krieger and husband Trevor of Billings, MT; granddaughters: Hailey & Reagan Brandt and Olivia Krieger; mother Mary Ann Krueger of Redwood Falls; sister Janice (Gene) Fenske of Redwood Falls; brother Wayne (Beth) Krueger of Park Rapids, MN and many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father William.
