Roger Burnette Lund
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Thursday with
a prayer service at 7:30 pm at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home in
Redwood Falls. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services
at the church on Friday.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday,
May 16, 2008 at Central Lutheran Church in rural Franklin (64268
430th Street).
Roger Burnette Lund age 78 of Franklin passed
away Monday, May 12, 2008 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm,
MN. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, May 16,
2008 at Central Lutheran Church in rural Franklin (64268 430th Street).
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Thursday with a prayer service
at 7:30 pm at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls.
Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church
on Friday. Interment is in the Franklin Cemetery. Email condolences

Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Roger Lund was born March 25, 1930 in Camp Township, Renville County,
MN to Arnold and Julia (Lieske) Lund. He was baptized April 21,
1930 and confirmed September 26, 1943. Roger attended country school
district 10 in Camp Township. On May 21, 1953 he entered into the
US Army, he was stationed at Fort Lewis in Washington. Roger received
his honorable discharge on May 20, 1955. He then farmed with his
brother, Edward Lund in Camp Township. On September 25, 1956, Roger
was united in marriage to Jane Robertson. To this union their son
Loni was born. On March 1, 1986, Roger was united in marriage to
Delores Schroeder. He continued farming with his son. Roger was
a member of the Franklin Lion’s Club, the Franklin American
Legion, and was an active member at Central Lutheran Church. His
hobbies included fishing and camping.
Roger is survived by his wife Delores of Franklin; son Loni of
Franklin; stepchildren: Roger (Paula) Rieke of Montana, Kenneth
(Diane) Rieke of Franklin, Duane (Julie) Sander of Stacy, James
(Laurie) Sander of Bemidji, Rodney (Sharla) Sander of Franklin and
Dennis (Lana) Sander of St. James; granddaughter Rozlynn Lund; 17
step-grandchildren; 27 step great-grandchildren; and numerous other
relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents,
brother Edward J. Lund, infant son Lynn and stepson John Sander.
