George M. McReynolds

George M. McReynolds, age 56 of Granite Falls passed away from this life November 13, 2009 after battling interstitial pulmonary fibrosis for over three years. Private family services will be held at a later date.

George was born in Ottawa, Canada to Paul & Djurdjica (Demetrovic) McReynolds. Working most of his life in Human Services in Maryland and Pennsylvania, George gave freely of himself to individuals with special needs (autistic, brain-injured, emotionally disturbed, or mentally challenged). After moving to Granite Falls, he continued to work in Human Services as well as work at Jennie-O and the casino. He had a wry sense of humor, an innate curiosity about all facets of life, and his constant search for knowledge and “truth”. George’s creativity and imagination knew no bounds. As a result, he was an avid reader and writer, and loved music. God Bless!

George will be missed by his wife Sandy; sister Reenie (Mike) Chase and their son Chris from Pennsylvania; stepsons: Kiley (Kim) Flickinger and their kids Ashley & David of Athens, OH, Ross Flickinger and his son Matt of Hutchinson, MN, Del Flickinger and Kathy O’Brien and their children Heather, Kevin and Steven of LeSueur, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents.
