Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, October 10, 2008 at St. Cornelia’s Episcopal Church at the Lower Sioux Community.

Visitation will begin at 5:00p.m. Thursday at the community center and will continue until the time of the services on Friday.

Ruth Ann (Leith) Montez age 63 of the Twin Cities, formerly of Morton, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2008. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, October 10, 2008 at St. Cornelia’s Episcopal Church at the Lower Sioux Community. Visitation will begin at 5:00p.m. Thursday at the community center and will continue until the time of the services on Friday. Interment is in the St. Cornelia’s Episcopal Cemetery. Ruth Ann Leith was born March 24, 1945 in Pipestone, MN. She was the third daughter to Levi & Francis Leith. They resided in Morton until Ruth Ann moved to the Twin Cities where she married and had six children. Ruth Ann had many friends and enjoyed being with her family. She saw them as often as she could. Ruth Ann enjoyed life to the fullest. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Ruth Ann (Leith) Montez is survived by her children: Rochelle Leith (Steve Harris) of Redwood Falls, Dawn (Lazaro) Cardenas of Vesta, Carlos Montez of Redwood Falls, Mark Montez of Salem, OR, Heather Dykman of Washington and Doreen Leith of Arizona; grandchildren: Stacy Montez, Kenny Johnson, Ricky Russell, Jason Johnson, Ashley Cardenas & Brandon Johnson; great grandchildren: Kyle Montez, Cody Montez, Brielle Russell, Shyanna Johnson, Kyla Russell, Shyleia Johnson, Demarco Montez, Christa Eve Johnson, Delecia Cardenas-Griffin, and one on the way; sisters: Barbara Prescott, Marcella Leith, Mary Bell & Diane Knutson; and many other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents and grandson Kenny Johnson.
