Alice Munsch

Alice Anna Munsch, age 89 of Granite Falls, formerly of Wood Lake passed away on Monday, June 1, 2009 at the Granite Falls Manor in Granite Falls, MN.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 5 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wood Lake.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment is in St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent at www.redwoodvalleyfuneralhome.com. The Redwood Valley Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Alice Anna Munsch was born August 17, 1919 in Wood Lake, Minnesota to Arthur and Lillian (Wilkening) Schrupp. She attended Wood Lake public school. On September 24, 1939 Alice was united in marriage to Ervin Munch in Wood Lake. Alice was an avid homemaker and a wonderful mother. She was a member of the St. John’s Ladies’ Aid and the church choir. Alice loved baking, gardening, and playing Bingo. She loved music, dancing, and playing piano.

Alice is survived by her children: David (Rosie) Munsch, Kathy (John) Bruce, Charles (Kathy) Munsch, Jeffrey (Kathy) Munsch; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Margaret Gallion; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ervin; 1 grandson; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.
