DeLores E. Seime (pronounced Sy-mee)

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 4th at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Belview.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at the church with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the services on Saturday.

DeLores E. Seime, age 86 of Belview passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Parkview Home in Belview. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 4th at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Belview. Visitation will be Friday from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at the church with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Interment is in the Echo Cemetery. DeLores E. Seime was born October 15, 1921 in Echo Township, Minnesota to Emil and Adella (Henschke) Marquardt. She was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Echo. DeLores attended country school and Echo High School, graduating in 1939. She was united in marriage to Alex Kuehn in 1941. They had four sons who died in infancy, and Alex passed away in 1956. In October of 1958, DeLores married John Seime and they had one daughter, Kari. John passed away in November of 1973. DeLores married Karl Seime in March of 1975, and he later died in March of 1992. DeLores worked at the Echo Medical Clinic for 12 years where Dr. Huedec trained her in as a Lab Technician. She also worked at the Redwood Hospital for a short time. DeLores was active in Our Savior’s Ladies’ Aid, was a secretary for AAL, volunteered for Hospice, was involved in Rolling Prairie Senior Citizens, Bethany Auxiliary, and Parkview Auxiliary. She loved gardening, was a fabulous cook, and loved to travel.

DeLores is survived by her daughters: Valerie Seime, Kari (Mike Wylie) Seime; stepchildren: June (Larry) Pearson, Norma (Charles) Robinson, Ramona (Bill) Willcox, Karl (Maggie) Seime, Richard (Linda) Seime, Karlene (Dave Noble) Seime-Noble; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Milt (Dorothy) Marquardt; nieces Mary Reyes and Kathleen Busack; dear friends Lydia Kletscher and Arline Busack; and her beloved grand-dog Cole. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 husbands; 4 sons; aunts; uncles; cousins; and dear friends Sylvia Prahl and Marion Kuehn.
