Samantha Leigh Schuler

Samantha Leigh Schuler, age 17, of Redwood Falls died Thursday, July 16, 2009 as the result of a car accident in Redwood Falls.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2009 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the time of services on Monday at the church. Interment will be in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Sammi Schuler Memorial Fund at Minnwest Bank in Redwood Falls.

Samantha Leigh Schuler was born May 7, 1992 to Craig Schuler and Roberta Howell in Phoenix, Arizona. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. She attended school in Redwood Falls where she was currently entering her senior year of high school. Samantha enjoyed playing basketball, softball, and volleyball through the 10th grade. She loved animals; occasionally helping walk dogs for the Animal Shelter. Samantha loved to cook and aspired to be a chef. Sammi was quick witted and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed sports, fishing, and swimming. Sammi loved the outdoors; working in the garden and going to Ramsey Park.

Samantha is survived by her father Craig “Slim” Schuler of Redwood Falls, MN; sister Sydney Schuler of Redwood Falls, MN; grandparents Dan and Iris Kelly of West Richland, Washington; godparents: Gary and Julia Becker of St. Cloud; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and numerous friends who she spent a lot of time with. She was preceded in death by her mother Roberta, paternal grandparents: Gerald “Bud” and Beverly Schuler and aunt Sandra Revels.
