Dolores Mae Buyck age
77 of Walnut Grove passed away Thursday March 6th, 2008 at Season’s
Hospice in Redwood Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30
p.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Walnut Grove.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 –7:00 p.m. Sunday at the
Walnut Grove Funeral Home, with a CCW rosary service at 4:00 p.m.
and a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour
prior to services at the church on Monday. Interment is in Calvary
Catholic Cemetery in Walnut Grove. Email condolences may be sent

is handling the arrangements.
Dolores Mae Buyck was born May 1, 1930 in Redwood County to Ralph
and Matilda (Lessman)Nichols. She graduated from Walnut Grove High
School in 1947. On November 27, 1957, Dolores was united in marriage
to Donald Buyck. Together the couple lived and farmed north of Walnut
Grove. In 1978, due to Donald’s health, the couple moved into
Walnut Grove. Dolores loved fancy work, quilting, crocheting &
making rugs.
Dolores is survived by her nephew Gary Dahlgren of Walnut Grove,
great nieces: Lisa Young, Lynn Gardener and Kari Baird all of Illinois;
brother and sister in law John and Pearl Buyck of Benson; sister
in law Kathryn Swoffer of Sleepy Eye, and several other nieces,
nephews, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband
Donald, her parents, a sister Virginia Dahlgren, and a niece Jillene
Franz.
