Charles Alro Bunker
“Alro” Charles A. Bunker 92 of Westbrook passed away
on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at his home.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday
at Trinity Lutheran Church in Westbrook.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00
p.m. Thursday at the Westbrook Funeral Home with a 7:30 p.m. prayer
service. Interment is in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Dovray. In
lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Email condolences may

is assisting the family with arrangements.
“Alro” Charles A. Bunker was born September 6, 1916
in Holly Township, Murray County, Minnesota to Wilbur and Mattie
Kate Bunker. He grew up and attended school in Dovray. Charles was
united in marriage to Jeraldine Olga Olsen on October 4, 1941 in
Balaton, Minnesota. He farmed with his dad and then moved into Westbrook
in 1950 where he worked for Kleven Service, Farm Bureau Service,
Westbrook Grain Elevator and also drove school bus. He was a lifetime
member of Trinity Lutheran church.
Charles passed away at his home on June 30, 2009 at the age of
92 years, 9 months, and 24 days.
Charles is survived by his daughter Brenda Bunker; grandchildren:
Jacob and Tirhas Nygren, Matt Nygren, Meghan McNamara (Reginald
Ratliff); great grandchildren: Aaliyah Ratliff, Daejona Ratliff,
Mariah Ratliff, and Joshua Nygren; brother Vayle (Juanita) Bunker;
and sister-in-law Eleanore Bunker; and a host of other relatives
and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jeraldine,
and brother Wilbert.
